The Ancient Mulberry Avenue is composed of altar , (namely “mulberry soul on the silk road” and 17 ancient mulberry trees. It is the place where gathers most quantity of ancient mulberry trees in western cities in China.
Mulberry tree is originated in China with widely distributed. It is also distributed in countries along the West Asia, such as Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey and countries along the East Asia, such as North Korea, Korea and Japan. In our country, it is majorly planted in southwest, northwest and northeast regions. Mulberry tree usually grows in areas of 200 - 2000 meters above sea level and has cultivated and wild types. It’s strong in cold resistance and drought tolerance. Its leaf yield is high and with excellent quality. Age of wild mulberry tree can grow to over 1000 years.
